Also was on positions of CFO in big telecom companies in Kazakhstan. Has long-term relationships with foreign investment funds.

Vlad Kassiyev is a Partner at Almak Capital, bringing a unique blend of industry leadership and strategic tax advisory expertise to the firm. With 14+ years of experience spanning both heavy industrial tools, O&G and PowerGen as well as top-tier consultancy, he provides a hands-on approach to value creation, investment strategy, and operational transformation.
Before joining Almak Capital, Vlad was at Enerpac Tool Group for over 7 years, where he led business transformation, M&A, and growth strategy initiatives. In this role, he spearheaded, both market expansions and cost optimization programs as well as strategic acquisitions and divestments, helping drive sustainable value creation across Enerpac Tool Group’s portfolio.
Prior to Enerpac Tool Group, Vlad was at Ernst & Young as Senior Tax Manager. He brings deep expertise in tax advisory, which plays a critical role in optimizing investment structures, enhancing portfolio company value, and maximizing returns for investors. With a strong background in tax strategy, he has advised on complex cross-border transactions, fund structuring, and M&A tax implications, ensuring efficient capital deployment and regulatory compliance. This expertise enables him to identify tax-efficient deal structures, manage risk, and drive post-acquisition value creation.
Vlad holds dual BSc degree in both Economics and Public Administration from James Madison University and has a number of professional certificates including FMVA and certificate in M&A and PMI.
